About the Emergency Relief Initiative

The GLOBAL EMERGENCY RELIEF INITIATIVE is a comprehensive federal program designed to provide direct financial assistance to individuals and families who have experienced hardship due to global and domestic crises.

Global Crisis Response

Addressing hardships stemming from international conflicts, COVID-19 pandemic effects, global economic disruptions, and displacement of communities across borders.

Community Recovery

Supporting communities impacted by natural disasters including floods, wildfires, storms, and social and political conflicts that have interrupted progress and displaced families.

Financial Empowerment

Providing direct grants, not loans, to eligible beneficiaries to help rebuild financial stability, cover essential needs, and restore economic independence.

Grant Categories

What Your Grant Covers

Relief funds are available across six key categories. Eligible beneficiaries may qualify for assistance in one or more areas based on their circumstances.

Up to $15,000

Housing Assistance

Assistance with rent, mortgage payments, emergency housing relocation, and home repair costs for disaster-affected residences.

Up to $10,000

Healthcare Coverage

Coverage for medical bills, prescriptions, mental health services, and healthcare costs incurred due to crisis-related circumstances.

Up to $8,000

Education Support

Funding for educational continuity, vocational training, school supplies, and skill development programs for displaced individuals.

Up to $25,000

Small Business Restart

Grants for small business owners to restart operations, replace equipment, and rebuild income streams interrupted by crises.

Up to $5,000

Utility Assistance

Support for electricity, water, gas, internet, and other essential utility services to maintain a safe and stable living environment.

Up to $3,500

Food Security

Emergency food assistance, grocery vouchers, and nutrition support for families facing food insecurity due to economic disruptions.

Process Guide

How to Claim Your Benefits

The process is straightforward. Follow these four steps to access your approved relief grant.

Verify Your Notification

Send a mail to us at support@newworldcharity.org to show your interest. You will be identified as a potential beneficiary. Verify your notification letter or reference number using the portal.

Complete the Application

Submit your personal information, documentation of hardship, and supporting evidence. All submissions are reviewed by our federal case officers within 5–10 business days.

Approval & Verification

Your application is reviewed against federal eligibility criteria. You will receive an official determination letter via email and postal mail confirming approval or requesting additional documentation.

Receive Your Funds

Approved beneficiaries receive funds via direct deposit, government-issued check, or prepaid debit card within 15–30 business days of approval confirmation.

Eligibility Criteria

Who Qualifies for Relief?

You May Be Eligible If...

  • Citizens and permanent residents of any country directly affected by qualifying crises
  • Individuals displaced by natural disasters (floods, wildfires, storms) since 2020
  • Families experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19 economic impacts
  • Individuals affected by war, conflict, or geopolitical displacement
  • Small business owners who suffered documented losses due to crises
  • Individuals who received an official notification letter from USGERI
  • Households with income disruptions due to qualifying emergency circumstances

You Are Not Eligible If...

  • Individuals who have not received an official GERI notification
  • Prior grant recipients who have already claimed the maximum benefit amount
  • Applicants with fraudulent or false documentation
  • Non-residents without qualifying immigration status

Required Documentation

  • Government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license)
  • Your official GERI notification letter & reference number
  • Proof of hardship (disaster declaration, medical bills, layoff notice, etc.)
  • Social Security Number or ITIN
  • Bank account information for direct deposit
